Limerick Records is a Twin Cities based independent record label that offers all of the music we release free of charge. Fans can visit www.limerickrecords.com and download complete albums by any artist on our roster, complete with artwork and liner notes, without paying a single cent. No strings attached.

Limerick's mission is to adapt to the changing music industry by giving music fans what they've already gotten used to since the introduction of digital downloads, free music. We're taking the focus away from selling a product and instead concentrating on building a solid fan base for our artists by treating people as fans instead of consumers.

Limerick offers full-service management to our family artists, meaning that we provide nearly all of the professional services that a band needs under one roof. This consolidation allows us not just to offer music for free, but also to give personal attention to each artist's long-term career. Because the label doesn't have a 'bottom line' to worry about, we're able to devote ourselves solely to the success and happiness of each artist. Unlike a traditional record label, the artists maintain complete creative control and ownership of their music, are able to pursue all of the side projects and collaborations that they desire, and are essentially in control of the label themselves.

In the absence of CD sales, our artist's livelihoods depend on their live performances, merchandising, publishing, and other assorted sources of revenue. Our ultimate goal is that fans will learn about one of our artists, download that artist's music free of charge, and then, later, pay for a concert ticket, a t-shirt, or a DVD. We want to build a lifelong relationship with each fan, and always strive to give back much more than we take.

By keeping our roster of artists small, Limerick feels more like a family than a business. Our artists are friends, they collaborate on each other's music, and we have regular gatherings such as backyard BBQ's and parties where the entire staff of the label as well as the artists have a chance to socialize and get to know each other better. These close relationships are the foundation that the business is built on. The lack of competition for sales allows everyone to be treated equally, and work together towards a common goal.
